These weekly groups provide instruction and teachings that help illuminate the simple but challenging practice of mindfulness. The Buddha taught that mindfulness is the way to go beyond habits of distraction and grasping. To walk this path of wisdom and compassion, we need the support of a community that shares this intention. Each session includes a guided meditation, dharma talk, and time for questions and answers. Both experienced and beginning meditators are welcome. Classes are offered by donation and no registration is required. The core teaching team is comprised of Alex Haley, Alvina Kittur, and Femi Akinnagbe and the weekly schedule rotates between these three teachers.
Those looking for support in their mindfulness practice are invited to read the book Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach.
